CFP | 15.9. | How do online journalists see their role in society?

A special issue of the #ISOJ Journal is now accepting paper submissions. The issue will be published in conjunction with the International Symposium on Online Journalism, in April 2018. Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their work at the Symposium, which will take place in Austin, Texas (United States).

The issue’s theme is “Habits of thought” and it focuses around the changes in journalists’ role conceptions and normative ideologies in the online environment. Especially empirical studies are invited, “though non-empirical work that contributes substantively to our knowledge of how journalists think about themselves and their occupation also will be considered”.

Manuscripts must be submitted by the 15th of September 2017. Acceptees will be notified by November 15th, and final manuscript versions are due on December 15th.

The full call for papers is available on the ISOJ website.
