The Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia Journalism School announced a call for research project proposals for spring 2017.

The proposals should fall within four areas of inquiry:

• Computation, algorithms and automated journalism
• Data, metrics and impact
• Audiences and engagement
• Experimental journalism, models and practice
