CFP | 9.2.2018 | What should, or will, future media policies be like?

A special issue of the International Journal of Digital Television is now accepting article proposals. Themed “Media and Communication Policies in a Digital World”, the issue is scheduled for publication in March 2019. The issue is set to celebrate the journal’s 10th anniversary.

The digitization of the media landscape has brought major challenges to extant regulation. Multinational media conglomerates are consolidating their power, yet grassroots phenomena like online harassment and terrorist propaganda abound. Can, and should, these issues be tackled by national or supranational regulation, the editors ask.

Article abstracts must be submitted by February 9th 2018, and acceptance decisions will be communicated by April 9th. Full papers are due by the end of August, and decisions on them will be made by November 17th.

The full call for papers is available through the ECREA mailing list archive.
