The International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) is calling for paper and panel proposals for its upcoming, annual conference. The event will be hosted by the University of Oregon, in the city of Eugene, USA. The conference will span from the 20^th to the 24^th of June 2018, excluding pre and post-conference events.

The overarching theme of the conference is “Reimagining Sustainability: Communication and Media Research in a Changing World”. The IAMCR 2018 features a total of 31 thematic sections and working groups, which have supplementary foci. Many of the sections should be of interest to journalism scholars, for example:

• Communication Policy & Technology Section
• Community Communication and Alternative Media Section
• Journalism Research and Education Section
• Media and Sport Section
• Mediated Communication, Public Opinion & Society Section
• Media Production Analysis Working Group
• Public Service Media Policy Working Group

All proposals must be sent via an online submission system, which opens on November 9 and closes at the end of January 2018. Acceptance decisions will be communicated by March 15, and full papers are due on May 28.
