The upcoming Prague Media Point conference is now calling for paper proposals. The 2018 event is entitled “Media and Technology: Innovative Journalism in a Contested Political Space” and it will take place in Prague, Czechia (venue will be revealed later) between the 15th and 17th of November.
The event is not limited to academics, and the organizers invite “scholars, media professionals, and press freedom activists” to attend. The three main themes of the conference are:
- Digitally aided journalism practices and all the trends that affect content production
- Digitally aided entrepreneurial practices in media and audience engagement
- Policy and governance issues in media and technology
Paper abstracts should be submitted by May 15, and acceptance notifications will be sent by June 30. Full papers are due on October 11.
