A workshop organised by ECREA’s “Diaspora, migration and the media” section is calling for paper proposals. The workshop will take place in Bilbao, Spain, on the 2nd and 3rd of November 2017.
The event is widely interested in how media is affecting, and affected by, the so-called “migration crisis” in Europe. Workshop themes include, among others, “fake news”, “hate speech and racism”, and “solidarities, activism and protest”.
Paper abstracts are due on April 16th. Acceptees will be notified by May 16th, and full papers must be submitted by October 1st.
