
The International Journal of Communication has just published a new special section on urban communication research. The section includes a bunch of intriguing articles for those interested in journalism.
For example Researching Local News in a Big City: A Multimethod Approach by Stephen Coleman, Nancy Thumim, Giles Moss present a method for producing scalable measures for comparatively analyzing local journalism across multiple communities and/or within communities over time. The method could interconnect with research examining the demand and consumption dimensions of local journalism.
