A symposium on gender in media is now accepting paper proposals. The event itself will be held in Tarragona, Spain, on the 16th and 17th of October. It is organized by European Communication Research and Education Association’s (ECREA) research group Gender and Communication.
The symposium’s broad focus is on representations of the normal and the deviant in popular media. Additionally, the audience’s perceptions of and reactions to these representations will be discussed. As per the organizer’s mission, the event is especially interested in European view’s. Paper abstracts along these lines are due on April the 10th.
