Prague Media Point Conference, subtitled this year as “Media and Migration”, is now accepting paper abstracts. This year the event serves also as a preconference to the European Communication Research and Education Association’s (ECREA) European Communication Conference (ECC).
The conference is arranged in co-operation with ECREA’s Diaspora, Migration and the Media section, which is also reflected on the event’s agenda. The organizers welcome presentations concerning, for example, the representations of migrants and asylum seekers in media, the ways new media is changing perceptions of migration and migrants, and the role of immigrant media in Europe.
The Media Point Conference will take place between the 7th and 9th of November 2016 in Prague, Czech Republic. The ECC will begin on the 9th and end on the 12th of November.
Paper abstracts of 500 words are due by the end of May. Acceptees will be notified by the 1st of July, and full papers must be delivered by the end of September.
Further information of the event is available at its organizer’s website.
