The sixth biennial Afroeuropean Studies network conference is looking for session and panel suggestions. The event will be held at the University of Tampere, Finland, between the 6th and 8th of July 2017.
The conference is interested in a wide variety of topics pertaining to African-European, or black European, cultures and identities. Among the proposed themes are such media-related topics as “Afroeuropean mediascapes”, “Diaspora communities online”, and “Diasporic experience and digital media”.
Session abstracts are due on the 15th of September, and accepted session organizers will be notified within one month. The conference will also be accepting papers, the call for which will be published on November 1st.
