Carlsson steps down as the director of Nordicom

The director of the Nordic Information Centre for Media and Communication Research (Nordicom) is about to change. The current director, Ulla Carlsson, of University of Gothenburg, will step down in a matter of days. The position will be filled by Ingela Wadbring, of Mid Sweden University in Sundsvall, on the 1st of February.

Carlsson has been appointed as the UNESCO chair in Freedom of Expression, Media Development and Global Policy. She will be the 7th Swedish UNESCO chair holder, and the second at the University of Gothenburg.
