Background
The starting point for developing JRN was the notion that no one knew exactly what was going on in journalism research. Many opportunities for cooperation were missed. Newsrooms and practicing journalists were not benefitting from research. Communicating our work regurlarly and effectively could improve this. We started our website in Jyväskylä in 2015 with an European scope. We have now expanded, and aim at creating a real-time news stream of journalism research around the world.
The service
This a list of all the services we have offered during the years. Currently, we are only focusing on presenting new research articles and books.

Tell us about your work!
For us to know about any proceeding in the field, someone has to speak up. We follow multiple channels alongside academic publications, such as personal websites, blogs and hundreds of Twitter accounts. Still, we cannot catch everything that is happening in the field.
We therefore invite all journalism scholars to join our efforts, and publish more news about your current works. We will be delighted to know about you!
You can also write to our trends section covering new themes related to journalism and research practices. Just send us your thoughtful trend piece, and we will publish it.
