New issue of Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly is now published. The issue consists of a collection of research articles and a pile of book reviews. The magazine is divided in themes such as “online news business models”, “audience behavior” and “changing journalistic paradigms”.

The issue begins with a bibliometric study of social capital research in communication by Chul-joo Lee, of Seoul National University, and Dongyoung Sohn, of Hanyang University. The authors Hsiang Iris Chyi, of University of Texas at Austin, Seth Lewis, of University of Minnesota and Nan Zheng, of James Madison University, conducted a content analysis comparing newspapers, trade publications, and wire services’ coverage of Google News. Vera Slavtcheva-Petkova, of University of Chester, studies the postings of newspapers’ online discussion.

The full issue is available here. All abstracts are public.
