The event will take place on the 21st of July 2017 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. It is organised by the Centre for Printing History & Culture and hosted by Birmingham City University.

The symposium’s remit covers the time period from “early modern to present day”. Accepted papers will be considered for publication in the journal Publishing History. Suggested topics include:

  • Regional political texts: their origination, design, production, distribution, consumption and reception
  • How the look and content of regional publishing has contributed to, or been shaped by local politics
  • How provincial publications disseminated local, national and international politics

Short presentation synopses and author biographies must be submitted by the 1st of March.
