A special issue of the journal Journalism: Theory, Practice & Criticism on the London bombings of 2005 is looking for submissions. The issue seeks to revisit the so called ‘7/7’ attacks and media responses to it. Ten years in temporal distance should allow the event to be examined with a new approach, the call for papers suggests.
The journal is interested in contributions dealing with the coverage of both the historical event itself, and of the passing of its anniversary. Abstracts are due on December the 1st, and complete articles by the end of April 2016. The issue itself will be published in 2017.
The complete call for papers is available online.
