An IMMAA (International Media Management Academic Association) conference is calling for paper and panel proposals. The event is entitled “Media Sustainability, Value Creation and Public Policies” and it will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on the 11th and 12th of September 2017.
The conference accepts various contributions, but its focus is on media management and media education, and how the two are influenced by market disruptions. The organisers have provided a “non-exhaustive” list of suggested topics, which includes such themes as:
- Journalism and media sustainability
- Media audiences and research and metrics
- Public policies and state subsidies for media
- Media education and methodologies
Paper abstracts and panel proposals are due by the end of May, and acceptees will be notified by mid-June.
