A conference titled “Shared Histories: Media Connections Between Britain and Ireland” is looking for paper submissions. The conference will be held in Dublin, Ireland, on the 6th and 7th of July 2016. The event is jointly organized by the Dublin City University and Aberystwyth University, along with Newspaper & Periodical History Forum of Ireland, and the journal Media History.
The conference is seeking to cover the time period from the 16th century to the early years of broadcast. The topic includes not only the aspects of content and practice, but also of ownership and audience. Paper proposals are due on the 1st of June this year.
