The Communication History section of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) is calling for paper and panel proposals for its upcoming workshop entitled “Our group first! Historical perspectives on minorities/majorities, inclusion/exclusion, centre/periphery in media and communication history”. The workshop will be held in Budapest, Hungary, between the 7th and 9th of September 2017.
The section welcomes various submissions related to minorities, majorities and the media, but the organisers have provided the following list of preferred topics:
- Minorities through the eyes of the Majorities and vice versa
- Different by choice
- Inclusion and exclusion
- Minority Media, Majority Practices
- Centre and periphery
- “Us and them” through the history of communication studies
Paper abstracts and panel proposals are due by April 29th. Acceptees will be notified by May 15th.
