An upcoming themed issue of the IAFOR Journal of Media, Communication and Film is now accepting article proposals. The issue is themed “Challenging and Critiquing Reality” and it is scheduled for publication in the summer of 2018.

The issue is interested in different understandings of “reality” in media, film, politics and culture. The editor especially invites prospecting authors to consider how different contexts reflect on different uses of “reality”. Among the (non-exhaustive) list of suggested topics are:

• Reality, realism, and on screen representation
• Constructing reality
• Reality and journalism
• Reality and documentary
• Reality and photography

Article abstracts should be submitted by December 15, and acceptees will be notified by the beginning of January 2018. Full articles are due by the beginning of March 2018.
