The journal Popular Communication is inviting article proposals for its upcoming special issue. The issue is guest-edited by Christian Christensen, of University of Stockholm.
The issue is entitled “Journalists on Social Media: Politics, Privacy, Personal Branding”. The editor has supplied a (non-exhaustive) list of topic suggestions, which includes themes like:
- organizational/newsroom policies in relation to social media use
- cross-national comparisons in journalistic social media use
- social media use as journalistic labor
- social media use and the line between public and private, citizen and employee
Extended abstracts should be submitted by January 15, acceptees will be notified by February 1, and full articles are due on April 15.
