A panel entitled “Discourses of the Ukrainian Conflict: Linguistic Creativity in the Time of Crisis” is calling for paper proposals. The panel will be part of the Seventh International Conference on Critical Approaches to Discourse Analysis across Disciplines. The conference will be held in Aalborg, Denmark, between the 4th and 6th of July 2018. Accepted papers will be considered for an edited volume on the topic.
The panel organisers have suggested a host of potential topics, among them:
- Media and technology and their role in shaping discourses of crisis
- Gender in crisis discourse
- Nation, nationalism, and populism
- Business and economics
Paper abstracts must be submitted by October 12th and acceptance decisions will be announced by January 15th.
