An upcoming special issue of The International Journal of Press/Politics is calling for paper proposals. The issue is themed around “populist communication”, dealing with topics such as the representation of populist actors in mainstream media. According to the call for papers, comparative approaches are particularly welcome.

Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their work at a workshop, which will be held in Madrid in April 2018. The workshop provides a possibility for the editors to provide feedback to the authors before the final submission date of the full papers.

The deadline for submitting extended (2-page) abstracts is October 1^st 2017. Submissions for the workshop (invited by the editors) must be delivered by November 1^st, and full papers are due on February 1^st 2018.
