ARTICLE: The case of Swedish gymnasts

In 2012 a Swedish newspaper published multiple articles criticising Swedish national level gymnastics for being abusive. In their newly published article Jonas Stier and Helena Blomberg take a look on this case and analyse the use of rhetorical resources in initiating and launching a social problem in media narratives. They found five narratives that pursue different or even conflicting versions of reality and are used as discursive resources by the different parties to both launch and legitimise stories about wrong-doings or a larger social problem.
